As part of my game design class at the ETC, our first assignment was to critically evaluate the game of hopscotch. We were asked to evaluate it's strong points and also list down some of the flaws it had. Then, we had to brainstorm at least 50 different ideas which would address its drawbacks while still retaining the elements that made it fun. The next step was to short-list few ideas and define proper rule-sets for them.
Finally, we were to take one idea and run with it. Test it as much as possible and use the iterations to provide a new and improved version. And all of this took place in the span of one week! My handiwork can be viewed below:
